James joined the team in 2009 and quickly proved himself a great Coach and a real asset to the South Coast Sports team.
With his boundless energy, Head Coach James spearheads the pre-school Active Tots programmes and has built a great following for his excellent Bognor Regis based Football camps during the school holidays.
During term time, he can mostly be found delivering our highly regarded PE Mentoring scheme, to teachers in West Sussex schools.
James enjoys going to the Gym, eating overnight Oats and going for walks with his dogs Bella & Willow.
Ali began her journey with South Coast Sports aged just 15 and following a decade of Coaching she moved to a predominantly managerial role in 2009 in a bid to grow the business and broaden its horizons.
Ali still continues to drive the company forward, striving to ensure School’s Sports provision in West Sussex is truly outstanding when delivered by South Coast Sports.
Ali will also be seen in schools delivering our Children’s Yoga & Mindfulness courses.
Ali is Mum to Imogen, Austin & Ellis. When not with the children she enjoys working out with the Moyse Community & has recently discovered Running is not as bad as she thought!
At the weekends she, fiancé Paul & the children love visiting new playparks, especially ones where the adults can get coffee!

Paul Cooper aka “Coops” has been with us for so long he is very much part of the South Coast Sports furniture and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Paul is a fantastic Coach who is very highly regarded by schools, pupils and parents. Coops enjoys teaching all age groups, from our pre-school Active Tots Football to Friday Night Football and a multitude of PE lessons in between. Coops specialist areas are Football & Cricket, although he is one of those annoying people who can literally turn their hand to anything!
He is married to Gemma and together they have 2 children, Joshua and Charlotte.
Toby joined the team in 2014 and quickly became a very popular and highly regarded Coach within our schools community.

In his spare time Curtis enjoys coaching Barnham Trojans first X1, who he has led to a wide array of silverware in recent years!
Ross (who is camera shy!!) began his Coaching career “helping out” but he soon realised this was the role for him.
Ross gradually built up his Coaching qualifications, experience and workload and he was the first Coach who received exclusively in-house training with SCS. Ross worked alongside our Head Coach & Mentor Stephen for 18 months to give him the best possible start as a Coach and consequently he is an outstanding Coach, comfortable delivering any session, across any age range.
Ross is a very caring and nurturing individual and children who can often struggle and find things difficult thrive under his guidance.
Come the school holidays, when some people down tools for a well deserved break, Ross loves nothing more than running our Horsham holiday camps!
Gemma joined us in September 2019 and she has hit the ground running, delivering both curriculum time and club sessions, alongside her swimming teaching commitments.
Gemma is a qualified teacher, however after several years as a class teacher her love of Sport & PE has led her to joining the SCS tribe and we are delighted to have her. Gemma brings with her plenty of energy and enthusiasm and she has already built up a great rapport with students and teachers alike.
Gemma enjoys playing Netball in her own time and plays in the Chichester league. In her teenage years Gemma represented Sussex County in Badminton and still enjoys playing recreationally.
She enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and watching sunsets on the beach.
Henry was the second of our in-house trained Coaches, having previously worked at a West Sussex Primary school as a Learning Support Assistant.
He joined the team in 2018 and with his impeccable organisational skills, strong communication and an excellent work ethic Henry impressed all the schools he came in contact with, aswell as us.
He is now keeping very busy Coaching across our Mid Sussex schools.
When Henry is not Coaching with South Coast Sports he also teaches Swimming and is a high level Rugby Referee!
