Holiday Heroes Frequently Asked Questions

The HAF programme provides support to children in receipt of free school meals through holiday periods. The HAF programme funding is primarily for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals (FSM).

Benefits-related FSMs are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits and have a claim verified by their school or local authority.

HAF provision is offered for the Easter, Summer, and Christmas holidays. Entitlement for HAF children is 4 days for Easter, 4 days for Christmas and 16 days for the summer holidays.

Football camp is held at Tythe Barn in Horsham, RH12 5JF

We can only accept attending school 4 years and over. However, 4 years olds can only attend the holiday camp until 1pm. Older siblings of 4-year-olds can be picked up at this time also, if required.

5-year-olds and older can attend all day.

Football camp is for ages 5-12 years of age.

We are still able to accept Cash payments for camps, please opt for the Cash payment when making your booking on the website. Please be advised cash payment must be received on the first day of the camp that your child is attending.

Your child should bring a water bottle, a healthy packed lunch and a morning snack of fruit. (Unless being provided by SCS) Clothing that they can be active in and suitable for the weather forecasted on that specific day.  Suncream and hats are strongly recommended in the summer and a towel and change of socks are suggested for very wet days.

We are now Ofsted registered for all our holiday activity camp settings accept our Football camp. We can accept Kiddivoucher, Sodexo, RG Childcare, Edenred and Fideliti childcare vouchers.

We do not provide refunds unless the circumstances are exceptional. However, we do not want you to pay for services you have not received and are happy to offer a credit to be used against a holiday activity, birthday party or alternative club within a six month period for any half term that has not commenced and your child can no longer attend.
Largely speaking yes. We know that parents rely on our extra-curricular clubs as part of their childcare arrangements and clubs on school sites will run regardless of weather.
Active Tots sessions are indoors so they remain unaffected.
Our Friday Night Football sessions will run unless the weather means it is dangerous for us to do so. For example; thunder and lightning, high winds, frozen surfaces or torrential rain.
Our holiday activities will run regardless of weather at all partner primary schools. Football at Tythe Barn may be affected by severely inclement weather and you will be contacted in case of cancelled sessions.
