Frequently asked questions

Parent questions

Your child should be dressed in comfortable clothes and trainers/astro turfs. Some of these sessions are indoors and others are outside, please check your activity venue and ensure appropriate clothing is worn.

We recommend shin pads for Football sessions.

Please ensure your child brings a drink.

Unfortunately we do not accept Pay As You Go.

This is due to installment payments regularly being forgotten in the past and having to chase payments, which is both time consuming and frustrating.

Your child can however try a session before committing to the term and payment can be made at session 2.

We endeavour to support families suffering financial hardship. We do not want children to miss out on sporting opportunities because a full terms fee cannot be found all in one go. Please Contact Us to discuss your circumstances in confidence – we will make a financial plan together to enable your child/children to participate.

We do not provide refunds unless the circumstances are exceptional. However, we do not want you to pay for services you have not received and are happy to offer a credit to be used against a holiday activity, birthday party or alternative club within a six month period for any half term that has not commenced and your child can no longer attend.

Largely speaking yes. We know that parents rely on our extra-curricular clubs as part of their childcare arrangements and clubs on school sites will run regardless of weather.

Active Tots sessions are indoors so they remain unaffected.

Our Friday Night Football sessions will run unless the weather means it is dangerous for us to do so. For example; thunder and lightning, high winds, frozen surfaces or torrential rain.

Our holiday activities will run regardless of weather at all partner primary schools. Football at Tythe Barn may be affected by severely inclement weather and you will be contacted in case of cancelled sessions.

June 2023…We are now Ofsted registered for one site and awaiting our approval for the other 6 sites! This will enable us to accept childcare vouchers at our holiday camp sites.

We are working hard to get everything set up so we can accept Childcare Vouchers at all holiday camps (except Horsham Football) by October 2023. 

Your child should bring a water bottle, a healthy packed lunch and a morning snack of fruit. (Unless being provided by SCS) Clothing that they can be active in and suitable for the weather forecasted on that specific day.  Suncream and hats are strongly recommended in the summer and a towel and change of socks are suggested for very wet days.

 

 

We are still able to accept Cash payments for clubs and camps, please opt for the Cash payment when making your booking. Please be advised cash payment must be received on the first session of the club, unless your child is trialling session 1, then payment must be settled at session 2.

Yes! We have a Birthday Parties section on our website.  

From July 2023 you will be able to book directly through the website, selecting your chosen party and venue. 

There is also an option to provide your own suitable venue. 

We do not provide food.

Birthday children receive a Trophy to commemorate their special day.

Active Tots questions

Your child should be dressed in comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes. Our sessions are indoors, so layers are better than thick clothing in winter. Football kit is NOT required.

Please ensure you bring a drink for your child, there will be regular drinks breaks.

Please don’t bring food to your session, but you may like to have a snack at the ready for afterwards!

Classes are held indoors.

YES, you must! Parents of stage one children are asked to join in with their child and help guide them. Stage two parents must be on hand for any toileting needs, drinks break and to watch, support and celebrate your child’s/children’s successes.

Yes, we require payment termly in advance. However, if it is your child’s first time £5.50 to cover the initial session cost is fine to see how they get on, before signing up for the full term.

No. We have over 20 years experience delivering this programme and children are not ready to engage successfully with the sessions before two years of age. However you may join a waiting list in readiness for your child turning 2, up to six months in advance.

Yes, they are welcome to attend so long as they are kept away from the playing area.

Yes, but we kindly ask no more than two adults with their child/children.

We will allocate you a class that we think is most suitable, based on the age of your child and the spaces available.

You may request a specific class time and if there’s space, we will accommodate you.

School questions

We prefer to create bespoke arrangements according to your school’s specific needs. We are very competitively priced so why not Contact Us. 

It is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate a request solely for an extra curricular club, as our Coaches will be delivering curriculum time sessions in schools in the afternoon and are usually required to stay for a club.

However, if you have a degree of flexibility as to your day and time it may be possible to accommodate your needs.

Most schools book for the academic year, however shorter booking periods, minimum one full term are available upon request.

We require one full terms notice for cancellation of services.

We require one full half terms notice for amendments to provision services.

Yes. We love to collaborate with schools and other organisations to create event days or weeks for your pupils.

The earlier in the school year you contact us regarding your schools needs, the more likely we will be able to help. 

Even if you just want to get the date/s booked in initially and finalise the details nearer the time, do get in touch.

Yes to both. The usual format is to come into your school for 3 mornings across the school year to work with your chosen cohort.   We will train pupils to plan and lead activities and return to review, provide feedback and further training and support. 

 We also provide Referees Academy training to reduce conflict around Football in your school .
